Role Description: Lore Keepers are the storytellers and enforcers of the community’s culture and knowledge. They guide members with wisdom, ensuring that everyone is aligned with the server’s core values and thematic essence. They are approachable experts who also enforce the rules, making sure the community stays true to its roots while encouraging engaging and meaningful conversations.

Duties:

  • Act as knowledge guardians, preserving the lore, history, and core values of the community.
  • Enforce rules and guidelines, especially around community themes, ensuring conversations remain on topic.
  • Provide context and guidance to new members about the community’s culture and goals.
  • Share regular lore updates, server tips, and insights, making sure everyone is aware of any changes or important information.

Traits: Knowledgeable, authoritative, charismatic, passionate about the community’s lore, excellent communicators, and fair-minded.


Lore Keepers Guide: Your Role & Responsibilities 📚🗝️

As a Lore Keeper, you are the keeper of community culture, stories, and rules. You ensure discussions stay engaging, informative, and relevant to our server’s themes. Members look to you for guidance, topic inspiration, and a warm welcome into the world of romance and fantasy.

1. Setting the Tone in Conversations

  • Encourage On-Topic Discussions: Remind members to keep discussions related to romance, fantasy, and storytelling. Gently redirect when conversations veer off track.
  • Promote Depth & Engagement: Ask thought-provoking questions, provide story insights, or share your own theories to encourage in-depth conversations.
  • Uphold the Theme: Help make the server feel like a true hub for fantasy and romance fans. Share relevant quotes, themes, or insights to keep the atmosphere aligned with our community values.

Example Prompt: “What are everyone’s favorite fictional romances or love stories? I’d love to hear what made them memorable for you!”

2. Moderating and Enforcing Community Guidelines

  • Monitor for Rule Violations: Watch for off-topic discussions, spoilers without warnings, or disrespectful behavior. Kindly remind members of the rules if needed.
  • Use Warnings Thoughtfully: If someone continues to break a rule after a friendly reminder, issue a more direct warning in a supportive and constructive tone.
  • Report Escalations: If a situation needs further attention, communicate with the Star Wardens or Arcane Sentinels for additional support.

Tip: Use polite phrases like, “Let’s keep spoilers in spoiler tags,” or “Remember, this channel is for book discussions only.”

3. Welcoming New Members & Introducing Culture

  • Introduce Newcomers: Make a warm first impression! Greet new members and encourage them to share their favorite book genres or authors.
  • Explain the Server’s Lore: Familiarize new members with the unique aspects of the server. Describe our themed channels, special events, or community challenges to spark excitement.
  • Encourage Engagement: Suggest specific channels or activities that might interest new members to help them get involved right away.

4. Sharing Knowledge and Lore Updates

  • Community Announcements: Keep members updated on lore-related events, themed challenges, or community activities.
  • Lore Preservation: Regularly share server history, popular conversations, and lore that help define our community identity.
  • Organize Events: Host themed discussions, lore trivia nights, or book club sessions to encourage interactive learning and conversation.

  • Resolve Minor Conflicts: When small disagreements arise, step in as a mediator, guiding the conversation back on track while keeping the peace.
  • Celebrate Contributions: Recognize members who share great insights or actively participate, encouraging a sense of belonging and engagement.
